The core responsibilities of this role include:
  • Plan, allocate, pick, manifest, and close daily waves of orders.
  • Understand and utilize system screens to monitor and move workload through the system.
  • Work closely with operations to identify and eliminate overages, shorts and damages causing inventory issues.
  • Manage the scheduling of inbound carriers and the outbound shipping schedule by updating appropriate communication methods.
  • Generate and utilize system reports and audit sheets to evaluate the shift progress.
  • Communicate directly with the carrier(s) to insure seamless physical and systematic transactions.
  • Oversee exchange of parcel shipments from shipping dock to carrier's truck.
  • Resolve data transmission failures/errors with customer's IT and procurement teams.
  • Interface with IT contacts in event of system-related barriers.
  • Ensure complete communication for turn of shift
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position: Tasker
Shift: Friday-Sunday, 5am-5pm
Pay: $20.75 with a $2.00 shift premium
In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:
  • Six months warehouse experience years experience in data entry and/or dispatch
  • Basic understanding and application of Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management system equipment and basic warehouse familiarity
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the distribution/warehousing field
  • Ability to make decisions that rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with associates and/or customers
  • Ability to work productively and positively within a dynamic team environment
  • Ability to set priorities and be able to multi-task with conflicting priorities
  • Ability to work specified shifts
  • Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
