Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills, such as data entry, email/written correspondence
  • Basic math skills
  • Relevant license and training required within 8 months of hire date
  • 1 or more years of related experience, on the job or informal training preferred
  • Use of common tools preferred
  • Knowledge of automated machinery preferred
  • Hold current relevant licenses and training required for job preferred
  • Associates degree preferred

About the Role:

  • Keeps accurate data and performs sample tests to obtain precise moisture content in the lumber
  • Checks for accuracy of stacked lumber
  • Collects data on the computer
  • Performs daily PM's on air compressor, wet bulb wicks, and monitor vents.
  • Services kilns and performs preventative maintenance on kiln motors monthly.
  • Assists in some maintenance operations on occasion
  • Ensure all duties are performed in a safe manner, and meets WWP safety standards.
  • Performs work at a quality level consistent with Wabash National Standard Practice.
  • Required to perform other duties as assigned.

  • Order materials, supplies, or equipment

Physical Demands:

  • Requires minimum of 9-10 hours standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, with a full range of body mechanics/movements.
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of stairs and climbing in and out of trucks or working in tight spaces.
