Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Office Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong organizational skills, and can manage multiple accounting tasks in a fast-paced office environment. The successful candidate will support the accounting department by performing daily financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of financial transactions.
  • Prepare and process daily bank deposits.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, payment posting, and customer account reconciliation.
  • Process incoming checks and ensure proper documentation and deposit procedures.
  • Post transactions to the General Ledger (GL) accurately and promptly.
  • Reconcile accounting records and assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding account balances and payment inquiries.
  • Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and basic accounting principles.
  • Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
