Job description

Maintenance Data Clerk
Transdev in Pleasantville, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Data Clerk to bolster our team. The Maintenance Data Clerk correctly records data to ensure the location can maintain safe operating conditions, issues parts and tools to maintenance personnel, and order supplies as needed. As a Maintenance Data Clerk, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our assets.

  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $15.92 - Maximum $17.00 / hour

Major Responsibilities:
  • Enter daily data for the Maintenance Department.
  • Maintains information regarding life history of all vehicles and major component serial numbers.
  • Processes reports for management and the client, as requested.
  • Completes dual entry of all work orders, road calls, and Preventative Maintenance orders into both client and company tracking systems.
  • Responsible for achieving documentation.
  • Daily filing of all paperwork.
  • Organizes and assists with coordinating daily PMI schedule and Maintenance Repair Orders.
  • Provides support for other Departments, as necessary.
  • Executes special projects, as requested.
  • Other responsibilities as requested or required

Qualifications:
  • Candidates must have a high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to utilize standard computer programs
  • Must have excellent communication skills, bringing demonstrated abilities of building solid relationships with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
  • Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ninety (90) percent of work is accomplished indoors and in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
  • Ten (10) percent of work is accomplished in an open-garage facility/outdoors.
  • Will be required to lift packages of up to 50 pounds.
  • Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, repetitive hand-wrist motion; and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials.
