Job description

Job Summary
The Data Engineer II will design, build, and support scalable data solutions within a large-scale data warehouse environment. The role will focus on developing reliable ETL pipelines, analyzing and modeling data, building large-scale data structures for business intelligence and analytics, and delivering reporting solutions that provide timely and flexible access to business data. The Data Engineer will work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement solutions supporting analytical and reporting needs. This is a 6-month contract position based in Dallas, TX and requires onsite work, with relocation candidates welcome.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and support scalable data engineering solutions for complex business requirements.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and data processing workflows.
• Analyze large datasets and develop data structures that support business intelligence and analytics.
• Design and implement data models and data warehouse solutions.
• Develop and support analytical technologies that provide timely, flexible, and structured access to data.
• Model metadata and develop reports and dashboards using reporting and analytics tools.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement analytical and reporting solutions.
• Define meaningful metrics and apply data engineering best practices to solve complex business problems.
• Develop reliable data systems that operate effectively at scale.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL fluency and data analysis skills.
• Strong Python knowledge for data engineering and development.
• 3+ years of experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• 3+ years of experience developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence and analytics using data modeling.
• Strong understanding of data engineering, analytical data structures, and reporting requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
• Experience with non-relational databases and data stores, including object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, or column-family databases.
• Experience developing and operating large-scale data warehouse environments.
• Experience with data quality automation, pipeline tooling, and orchestration beyond SQL.
• Experience building reporting and dashboard solutions.
• Strong ownership and results-oriented approach to delivering data engineering solutions.
