Position Description: Industrial Engineer - Internship
The Industrial Engineering Intern will support process improvement, efficiency analysis, and operational optimization efforts. This role provides hands-on experience in applying engineering principles to real-world business operations, focusing on productivity, cost reduction, and workflow optimization.
Requirements
Primary Duties:
• Analyze current processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies
• Assist in time studies, data collection, and performance analysis
• Support continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
• Develop process maps, standard operating procedures, and reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, supply chain, quality)
• Use data to recommend actionable improvements
• Participating in project meetings and present findings
Education:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical engineering or related field
Desired Experience & Skills:
• Lean principles (waste reduction, 5S, continuous improvement)
• Six Sigma basics (DMAIC concepts)
• Time studies and productivity analysis (even classroom exposure is fine)
• Understanding of workflow optimization
