About the team:

The Marketplace Platform Reliability team develops and maintains engineering systems that support thousands of engineers in delivering reliable, scalable, and high-performing software. The team manages platforms, operational intelligence, AI capabilities, and engineering standards to enhance productivity and system reliability. Focused on innovation and continuous improvement, members design robust, scalable solutions that support business growth while optimizing operational efficiency. Collaboration, strategic alignment, and effective program management drive technical excellence across the Marketplace organization, ensuring high-quality standards and sustained platform performance.

What you'll do:

• DefinethearchitectureandtechnicalstrategyforMarketplace'sOperationalIntelligenceplatform.
• Designandbuildscalabledatapipelines,datamodels,andanalyticsplatformsthatpowerengineeringinsightsandexecutivescorecards.
• PartnerwithengineeringandplatformteamstostandardizeoperationaldataandestablishasourceoftruthforOperationalandEngineeringExcellencemetrics.
• Drivedataquality,governance,andplatformscalabilitywhileenablingAI-drivenanalyticsandautomation.
• Mentorengineersandprovidetechnicalleadershipacrossdataengineeringinitiatives.

What you'll bring:

• Experiencedesigningandbuildinglarge-scaleclouddataplatformsanddistributeddatapipelines.
• Strongexpertiseindatamodeling,dataarchitecture,ETL/ELT,streamingdata,andmodernanalyticsplatforms.
• Experiencewithcloud-nativedatatechnologies,SQL,Python,Spark,Kafka,orsimilardistributeddataframeworks.
• Provenabilitytodefinetechnicalstrategyandinfluenceengineeringorganizationsthroughdataarchitectureandengineeringleadership.
• Experiencebuildingoperationalanalytics,engineeringmetrics,executivedashboards,orAI-readydataplatforms.
• Strongcommunicationskillswiththeabilitytotranslatecomplexdatachallengesintoscalableengineeringsolutions.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include : - Stock

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications. Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 5 years' experience in software engineering or related field. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related field. Option 3: Master's degree in Computer Science and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related field. 4 years' experience in data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics.
