We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to design and develop an ecosystem of interconnected business systems, virtualized data pipelines, data catalogs, and end-user consumable data products.

Essential Functions:

Lead the design and development of scalable and high-performance ETL pipelines to support enterprise data initiatives

Architect data integration solutions that consolidate data from varied sources into centralized data warehouses

Write and optimize advanced SQL queries and develop complex Python scripts for data processing and automation

Mentor junior engineers in best practices for ETL design, coding standards, and system optimization

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data systems meet evolving business needs and compliance standards

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a another related STEM field with 5 or more years of experience or Master's degree with 3 or more years of experience

Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python for building and optimizing data pipelines

Extensive experience in data integration, ETL framework design, and data warehousing

Proven track record of architecting reliable, scalable data solutions in a complex environment

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Ability to obtain or maintain US Government final Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with modern data streaming and batch processing tools

Experience with modern data orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow, Prefect)

Proficiency in leading data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)

Familiarity with cloud data services and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)

Involvement in strategic planning and implementation of enterprise data strategies

Experience with UI/UX design and development / Graphic Design

US Government final Secret clearance

CompTIA Security+ Certification or Equivalent 8570 Certification

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
