Job Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:

  • Lead APQP activities for assigned programs, ensuring feasibility, quality, cost, timing, and launch objectives are achieved through Start of Production (SOP).
  • Manage engineering changes for production programs, including customer communication, change control, implementation planning, status tracking, and documentation.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, engineering reviews, and business case analyses to support new programs, investments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and control critical quality and engineering documentation, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SQTCM, IATF, KPIs, and related program records.
  • Collaborate with customers, cross-functional teams, suppliers, tooling vendors, and commercial departments to ensure successful execution of engineering changes and program requirements.
  • Drive quality and process compliance through corrective actions, audit support, Layered Process Audits (LPA), root cause analysis, and adherence to customer and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor program performance through reporting and KPI tracking while supporting continuous improvement, lean initiatives, and maintaining departmental 5S standards.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline

WORK EXPERIENCE/ TECHNICAL TRAINING:

  • 5 years related automotive experience
  • Must have an understanding in the following areas, die / die process, assembly tooling, welding & sealer applications, CMM & datum alignment, data processing & reporting, customer tolerance concepts.
  • Previous project/program management experience required.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Project, Word.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong competency with working in teams or as individual unsupervised.
