We are seeking a Data and Analytics Engineer with strong experience across modern and legacy data environments. This role requires hands-on expertise in AI technologies such as MCP or RAG, along with Lakehouse architecture, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), APIs, SSIS, and Microsoft T-SQL. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with on-premises legacy systems while helping design and implement forward-looking data solutions. You will play a key role in driving data modernization initiatives and enabling scalable, future-ready data platforms.

Position Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for providing comprehensive data and analytics support for all business units across the corporation and works on low to medium complex and cross-functional data centric solutions, works on multiple projects as a team member, works with BI and Data Analysts to understand customer need.The incumbent collects, analyzes and shares data to help business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience and business results and has a moderate impact on operations, resources and the corporation's reputation.

Primary Responsibilities:

Works with Business Information and Data Analysts to understand customer needs. Collects, analyzes and shares data to help business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience and business results. Utilizes database and web application technologies to develop and evaluate innovative business intelligence tools and automated reports.

Develops and tests analytical solutions such as databases, queries, views, reports and dashboards.Assists in data conversions, imports and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems. Documents new and existing models, solutions and implementations.

Designs and builds reporting and analysis tools that help streamline the business and makes reporting, analyzing, planning and forecasting more efficient. Supports and assists with the integration of analytical platforms with enterprise systems and applications. Troubleshoots analytics tools, systems, and software. Tracks performance and production issues.

May assist in performance tuning of analytics applications.Escalates production issues as appropriate.Ensures the collected data is within required quality standards. May maintain the quality of Metadata Repository by adding, modifying and deleting data.

Adheres to process, policies and standards. Keeps customers informed about business intelligence tool problems and resolutions.Tracks and reports on issues and enhancement requests for the business in a timely manner.

Performs regular assignments using own judgment and following the corporation's data policy, while keeping supervisor informed as necessary.Receives general guidance on new projects as to methods, procedures and desired end results.Uses discretion to make decisions within the scope of their responsibilities. Complex assignments are usually reviewed upon completion.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
