Job description

Job Title: Senior Quality EngineerJob Description

The Senior Quality Engineer plays a key role on the Quality team, supporting ISO 9001–certified activities and driving continuous improvement across the organization. Working closely with stakeholders ranging from customers and suppliers to internal teams from the shop floor to executive leadership, this role ensures that products and processes meet rigorous quality standards. The Senior Quality Engineer uses planning, monitoring, measurement, analysis, and improvement methodologies to help the organization deliver consistent, high-quality results.

Responsibilities
  • Support and enhance ISO 9001–certified quality management system activities across the organization.
  • Collaborate frequently and directly with customers and suppliers to address quality-related topics, requirements, and issues.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels, from shop floor personnel to executive leadership, to promote and maintain quality standards.
  • Plan, monitor, and measure key quality indicators to ensure products and processes meet established specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify root causes of nonconformities and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate in and lead quality audits, including internal and external audits, to verify compliance with quality management system requirements.
  • Support manufacturing engineering and production teams with quality-related guidance, documentation, and process improvements.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve technical documentation and quality procedures to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities to validate new or modified products and processes.
  • Assist in quality control activities, including inspections, testing, and verification of products and materials.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by recommending and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work as part of a collaborative core team focused on long-term success and high-quality outcomes.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience in quality engineering or quality assurance within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 requirements and quality management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Product Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and support quality audits, including internal and external audits.
  • Proficiency in quality control practices, including inspection, measurement, and testing methodologies.
  • Ability to apply planning, monitoring, measurement, analysis, and improvement methodologies to quality processes.
  • Solid technical writing skills for creating and maintaining clear, accurate quality documentation and procedures.
  • Background in engineering, with the ability to collaborate effectively with manufacturing and engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for frequent interaction with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Degree in an engineering-related field.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
