Position Summary Information
Job Goal
This position is responsible for the successful program planning and logistics, staging and set up, and post class closure of BCS programing in the area Health. Will provide a cooperative, flexible, and enthusiastic approach when carrying out job duties and working with members of the College staff, with students and clients, and with the public.
Duties and Responsibilities
The tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
1. Work with program developers to operationalize and define logistics of programming for Certified Nurses Aide, Allied and other Continuing Education programming.
2. Coordinate all logistics for defined Open Enrollment programs including classroom set up, room assignments, catering, technology support, and training supply orders.
3. Assist program developers with marketing and inside sales to fill class seats and boost enrollments.
4. Develop organizational communication tools to communicate with presenters and participants before and after programming.
5. Secure room arrangements and data enter class information into Lumens Software.
6. Work with operations coordinator to facilitate room set up and ordering food for classes as needed.
7. Develop class packet which includes, roster, evaluations, syllabi, instructor binders and student materials for programs.
8. Assist with the development of instructor and student materials.
9. Meet and greet customers and presenters the day of the class as needed.
10. Complete class wrap up that includes instructor pay processing, class evaluation summaries, updating program developers of expenses, submission of grades, etc.
11. Provide general operational support to the Town Clock Center Business and Community Solutions team.
12. Participate in college committees, BCS divisional meetings, and other college volunteer activities.
13. Inventory control and ordering program supplies and textbooks.
14. Participate in weekly and monthly planning meetings with staff to discuss relevant logistical matters.
15. Attend Division meetings and strategic planning events.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Health related work experience preferred. Candidate should possess excellent communication skills, ability to handle multiple assignments, enjoy working in a fast paced environment, excellent public relations skills and an outgoing, enthusiastic, and positive personality. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point and comfortable with electronic communication. Excellent organization, detail, and customer service skills are essential. Must possess the ability and willingness to work cooperatively with other internal and external partners to create a positive, successful programming district wide.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Must possess valid driver's license.
Essential Functions
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Strong interpersonal skills; personal flexibility and creativity. Demonstrated management and/or community organizing experience. Excellent public relations skills. Knowledge of and experience working with computers preferred. Three years of coordination and/or education experience required.
