Job description

At Veryable we are building a platform that is transforming the manufacturing industry. We're proud of and excited about the work we do, and we are looking for passionate, driven software engineers to help advance and improve our work.
Veryable is looking for a Software Engineering intern to help the Platform Engineering team continue to push our platform to new levels. This is an unpaid internship with an opportunity to gain real world experience in a startup environment.s will not be considered. The ideal candidate is able to start as soon as possible.
What you will gain
  • Exposure to best practices in backend web development, using current technologies. Work in a fast-paced, team environment, solving real-world problems for manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, and industrial business environments.

  • Ownership in the evolution of Veryable's data infrastructure and data warehouse architecture to match the growing needs of customers and internal data consumers.

Qualifications
  • Recently graduated or currently enrolled in an accredited, degree-seeking program majoring in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree with one quarter or semester left.
  • Knowledge of Javascript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in backend frameworks such as Spring, Django, or Express.js
  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to take on complex problems, break them down, and drive optimal solutions.
  • Eager to learn, self-starter with a desire to grow professionally all with a winning attitude
  • Able to work in-office at our headquarters in Downtown Dallas.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and monitoring on AWS, GCP, or Azure platforms.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or Circle CI
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working with database management services such as Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, and RedShift.
  • Understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
