Customer Support Specialist
Contract Opportunity (3 Months with Potential for Extension or Conversion)

We are seeking a Customer Support Specialist to serve as a critical connection between customers, field crews, engineering teams, and sales professionals. In this role, you'll help ensure customer issues are resolved quickly and accurately while supporting service part orders, technical inquiries, and order processing activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a blend of customer interaction, technical problem-solving, and attention to detail.
What You'll Do
As a Customer Support Specialist, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting daily operations by:
  • Preparing service and production part orders based on customer requests, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
  • Receiving customer calls, documenting issues, and initiating corrective actions to drive timely resolutions.
  • Entering sales orders and customer information into multiple systems with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Supporting customers, installers, and field crews with professionalism, especially during high-pressure or escalated situations.
  • Collaborating directly with Engineering to investigate issues, identify errors, and resolve field concerns related to parts and building components.
  • Assisting building installers with questions regarding job-site parts, components, building drawings, and product information.
  • Partnering with Regional Sales Managers and customers to clearly define service issues and coordinate resolutions.
  • Responding to customer requests by working across departments to gather accurate and timely information.
  • Managing inbound calls and directing inquiries to the appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Performing detailed order entry and customer support documentation activities.
  • Assisting with technical inquiries involving construction components, blueprints, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Supporting additional customer service and operational initiatives as needed.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience within the construction industry.
  • Customer service, customer support, or technical support experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven data entry accuracy.
  • Experience processing orders and entering information into customer support or business systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to manage challenging customer interactions with professionalism and composure.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials (BOMs), and construction-related documentation.
  • Experience identifying parts using BOMs, drawings, or design documentation.
  • Familiarity with building components, construction processes, or job-site operations.
  • Experience collaborating with Engineering, Sales, and cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues.
  • Comfort working within multiple databases and software systems simultaneously.

Pay and Benefits
