Job Title: Electromechanical Technician

Job Description
The Electromechanical Technician plays a key role in assembling, wiring, and testing complex electromechanical products. This hands-on position combines mechanical and electrical expertise to build high-quality products, ensure reliable performance, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform wiring and assembly functions to integrate various electrical components into finished printed circuit boards (PCBs) and wiring harnesses.
- Build and incorporate motors, encoders, and switches into electrical products according to specifications and blueprints.
- Install mechanical components such as belts, machined parts, fasteners, and apply appropriate greases to complete product assemblies.
- Terminate wiring harnesses, check continuity, and verify correct electrical connections to ensure proper functionality.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting activities.
- Build and assemble products and prototypes, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and adherence to engineering and quality standards.
- Oversee the quality of outgoing products by reviewing test results, identifying issues, and ensuring products meet established criteria.
- Evaluate data from testing results and develop preventative and corrective action plans to improve product consistency and performance.
- Troubleshoot electromechanical issues in assemblies and harnesses, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams, actively contributing in a hands-on capacity and supporting various tasks as needed.
- Use hand tools such as calipers and wrenches to perform precise mechanical assembly and adjustments.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience with mechanical and electrical assembly experience, including working with both mechanical and electronic components.
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills for electromechanical systems, wiring, and assemblies.
- Ability to perform wiring tasks such as terminating wiring harnesses and checking continuity.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience building and assembling products or prototypes in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong quality focus, including evaluating test data and creating plans for improvement.
- Comfort using common hand tools such as calipers, wrenches, and other basic assembly tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with components such as motors, encoders, switches, belts, machined parts, fasteners, and wiring harnesses.
- Testing experience, including running tests, reviewing results, and reporting findings.
- Background in quality assurance or test engineering, with familiarity in creating preventative action plans.
- Previous military experience, which can be beneficial due to exposure to technical equipment and structured processes.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middleburg Heights, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
