Job description

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Build AI-integrated software to automate critical security operations and develop a defensive agent fleet to protect RBC against emerging coordinated agentic threats. As adversarial AI capabilities evolve, traditional security approaches are insufficient against sophisticated, autonomous attack patterns. You will pioneer the development of defensive AI agents that can detect, respond to, and neutralize coordinated agentic attacks in real-time.

As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and cybersecurity specialists to solve cutting-edge security challenges at the intersection of AI safety and enterprise defense.

What will you do?

You will architect and build a defensive agent fleet-a coordinated system of AI agents that work together to protect RBC's digital infrastructure against emerging agentic threats. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement defensive AI agents that use the power of LLMs and existing data pipelines to automate critical security operations, enabling the bank to respond to cyber incidents with unprecedented speed and accuracy

  • Develop agent orchestration systems that coordinate multiple defensive agents to identify and counter complex, multi-vector agentic attacks through collaborative threat hunting and response

  • Create AI-compatible interfaces to existing systems and data sources across the bank, enabling defensive agents to seamlessly access and act on security intelligence

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity specialists and data scientists to encode their expertise into agentic workflows, creating agents that combine human security knowledge with autonomous decision-making capabilities

  • Implement agent communication protocols that allow defensive agents to share threat intelligence and coordinate responses while maintaining security and preventing adversarial manipulation

This role is critical to establishing RBC's next-generation security posture in an era where AI-powered threats require AI-powered defense.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Experience with end to end full stack engineering, from design, development to production.

  • Experience designing complex software using python-based tech stack.

  • Experience with agentic AI toolkit.

  • Experience designing API interfaces and working with disparate systems.

  • Ability to communicate to business and exchange requirements.

  • Desire to learn new concepts, specifically in the field of cybersecurity.

Nice to have?

  • Degree in computer engineering or any relevant field.

  • 2-3 years of experience in the domain of software development, machine learning engineering.

What's in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.
