Occupational Therapist

Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Profession: Occupational Therapist

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours per Shift: 8

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required, home health experience preferred but not necessary

License: State license required

Certifications: BLS required

Must-Have: Driver's License required

Work history/resume required

Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date required

License verification required

Copy of required certifications

1 supervisory reference required at time of submission

Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The average number of patients per day is 4-6. Most patients need short-term therapy after hospitalization or nursing home stay for varied reasons. The coverage area is 50 miles from the home base. The traveler will average 200-250 miles per week. Weekly team meetings occur virtually, and there are monthly in-person meetings. Orientation includes a general organizational overview and required online courses. There will be training on electronic medical records as well as ride-along and shadow visits. Support is offered from a therapy manager during the first couple of weeks of the assignment. Typically, the therapist will be fully productive by the third week. First-time travelers are accepted. Epic experience is preferred. A taxable address outside of the 50-mile coverage area is required.
