Job description

The Lead Data Insights Analyst directly supports Technology leaders in achieving their financial, workforce, and operational objectives by transforming complex data into actionable insights. This role is responsible for strengthening Technology Performance Insights' data and reporting capabilities through data modeling, process improvement, automation, and scalable analytical solutions. You will connect data across financial, capacity, and operational domains to uncover performance drivers, frame tradeoffs, and translate complex information into clear, compelling narratives that help leaders understand what is changing, why it matters, and where to focus decisions and action. You will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis.
In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from either Madison, WI 53783 or Boston, MA 02110

Primary Accountabilities
  • You will work with business partners in the development and delivery of key performance analysis and reporting.
  • You will build and maintain various models used to project business results; enhancing the model where there is business value in adjusting the models.
  • You will ensure analysis and reporting accuracy and integrity and explain performance drivers and provide insights into performance trends.
  • You will create, execute and maintain forecasting models; speaks to the underlying assumptions and inter-workings of the model used to create the forecast.
  • You will communicate findings to various stakeholders and leadership with recommendations for actions to address business changes, trends, and issues.
  • You will evaluate, design, test and maintain data/analytics systems and make recommendations for new tools and system enhancements.
  • You will develop, test, and deploy complex automated reporting solutions and automated decision analytics to replace manual business processes.
  • You will develop and define standard analytics and reporting governance and communication and ensure adherence to standards.
  • You may be requested to complete other assignments or participate in projects based upon skills, achievements, or experience.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of forecasting techniques or statistical analysis or data modeling or data mining.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing software tools to query and report data.
  • Demonstrated experience with a variety of standard reporting software packages and best practices for report deployment processes.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating/presenting complex and independent concepts and unbiased fact-based decision-making and financial performance.
  • Demonstrated experience developing complex data sets for wide-spread use.
  • Travel requirements up to 10%.
