Position Summary:

We are seeking a Sr. Data Modeler to support the many exciting data modeling initiatives for DFW projects, including Resilience Analytics, AOA, PIMS, X1FBO, SmartSuite (Skylink) and more to come.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May perform any or all of the following):

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data warehouse architectures and data models, including Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD), and aggregation strategies to support enterprise analytics and reporting initiatives.
  • Deploy, administer, and support enterprise Business Intelligence and analytics platforms including Tableau, Tableau Desktop, Tableau Cloud, Power BI, Dataiku, and other commercial data modeling and visualization tools.
  • Lead and support architecture, development, and implementation of enterprise data warehousing and analytics solutions using Agile/Scrum methodologies and cloud-based technologies.
  • Create, maintain, and support MicroStrategy and Tableau projects, Enterprise Data Warehouses, SQL scripts, and ETL routines to support enterprise Business Intelligence and reporting solutions.
  • Participate in the conceptual planning and analysis of business, operational, and data initiatives by serving as a Business Intelligence and Analytic subject matter expert.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for functional requirements, business system applications, and related planning, budgeting, and monitoring processes.
  • Analyze, develop, and evaluate data within data lake and data warehouse environments, including data design, database architecture, metadata management, and repository development.
  • Analyze and interpret statistical and enterprise datasets to identify trends, patterns, and relationships across multiple data sources to support business decision-making.
  • Prepare, structure, and optimize data warehouses, data marts, and data lakes to serve as scalable analytical infrastructure for business users and enterprise data catalogs.
  • Collaborate with System Administrators, Database Administrators, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance teams to test, troubleshoot, optimize, and tune development solutions and data processes.
  • Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code, including stored procedures, triggers, Oracle functions, and partitioning strategies to support high-performance enterprise data solutions.
  • Design and develop logical and physical data models for enterprise data marts, data lakes, and data warehouses to support scalable analytics, reporting, and business intelligence solutions. Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Experience with Data Warehousing architectures, data modeling methodologies, and analytical design techniques including Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD), aggregation strategies, and logical/physical data modeling for data marts, data lakes, and enterprise data warehouses.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence solutions, including SQL scripts, ETL routines, metadata management, repository creation, and analytical infrastructure for business users and data catalogs.
  • Significant experience delivering enterprise data analytics, business intelligence, and cloud-based data warehouse solutions to production environments using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with enterprise BI and analytics platforms including Tableau, Tableau Desktop, Tableau Cloud, Power BI, MicroStrategy, and Dataiku.
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating complex statistical and enterprise datasets to identify trends, patterns, and relationships among multiple data sources.
