Network Architect (Co-location & Data Center)/On-site role/On W2

Frederick, MD

Duration: Long term
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Network Architect to support Banner Life in designing and implementing network solutions for colocation and future Urbana Data Center initiatives. This is a consulting role focused on architecture, solutioning, and migration support.
Key Responsibilities
Design and architect network solutions across colo and multi-site environments
Lead colo migration activities, including DIA/Fiber connectivity across sites
Develop high-level and low-level network designs
Implement high-speed LAN (25G/100G) and WAN (10G+) connectivity
Ensure network performance, scalability, and security
Support integration with storage, virtualization, and telephony systems
Required Skills & Technologies
Cisco Nexus 9000 switches and enterprise routing
Palo Alto Firewalls (PA-3440 & 1420)
SD-WAN, VLANs, network segmentation
DIA/Fiber connectivity across multiple data centers
Experience with:
Pure Storage replication
VMware vMotion
Avaya / MS Teams telephony
Server platforms (Dell PowerEdge, Cisco UCS โ€“ preferred)
Experience & Qualifications
10+ years in network engineering/architecture
Proven colocation (colo) migration experience
Strong hands-on expertise in multi-site network design
Certifications:
Cisco CCIE (preferred/strongly desired)
Palo Alto certification (PCNSE or equivalent)
