Job description

COLSA Corporation is currently looking for a hands-on Data Center Manager to lead the physical evolution of our server environments. This isn’t just a "desk job"—you’ll be the master of the floor, responsible for everything from the initial diagrams and rack-and-stack to the complex orchestration of power, cooling, and final documentation. You will bridge the gap between customer requirements and physical reality, ensuring our infrastructure is scalable, organized, high performing and stable.

As the Data Center Manager, you are the primary steward of our physical lab and production environments. Your mission is to ensure that every piece of hardware is perfectly placed, powered, cabled and protected. You will oversee the full lifecycle of data center equipment, managing high-density cabling projects, optimizing airflow and cooling, and maintaining meticulous documentation. You will decommission out-of-lifecycle hardware and coordinate with logistics and security personnel to ensure compliance with policy. You will act as a key liaison for customers, translating their technical needs into physical layouts while maintaining strict adherence to wiring and labeling standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead "rack and stack" operations, including the installation of servers, switches, storage arrays, and PDU units.
  • Design and implement structured cabling solutions (Fiber/Copper) following industry best practices for airflow and maintenance.
  • Monitor and optimize power distribution and cooling (HVAC/CRAC) to ensure hardware health and energy efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels for project-specific supplies (transceivers, patch cables, rails) to ensure zero downtime during deployments.
  • Work directly with internal or external customers to gather requirements and design rack layouts that meet their specific density and connectivity needs.
  • Maintain "Single Source of Truth" documentation, including rack diagrams, cable maps, and similar. Enforce strict labeling standards for all hardware and cables.
  • Perform regular floor audits to ensure safety compliance and asset accuracy.

At COLSA, people are our most valuable resource and centered at our core value. We invite you to unite your talents with opportunity and be a part of our “Family of Professionals!” Learn about our employee-centric culture and benefits here: https://www.colsa.com/culture_benefits
