Job description

THE COMPANY:

STACK INFRASTRUCTURE (STACK) provides digital infrastructure to scale the world's most innovative companies. We are an award-winning industry leader in building, owning, and operating highly efficient, cost-effective wholesale, colocation, and cloud data centers. Each of our national facilities meets or exceeds the highest industry standards in all operational categories of availability, security, connectivity, and physical resilience.

STACK offers the scale and geographic reach that rapidly growing hyperscale and enterprise companies need. The world runs on data. Data runs on STACK.

THE POSITION:

At STACK, the Construction Master Project Scheduler is an essential partner to the Construction Program VP, the General Manager, and to the wider Construction Team in providing large-scale, complex project scheduling leadership, strategy and support. The successful candidate for this role will be an experienced and accomplished scheduler for large-scale Integrated Master Schedule development, maintenance, and performance analysis/reporting for campus-scale Data Center projects.

This role will include regular and recurring interaction with both internal and external leadership and stakeholders of a critical, high visibility STACK project. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead all cross-functional schedule activities: definition, development, maintenance, and performance analysis/reporting for a complex data center construction project.

  • Act as the Schedule Owner for the Integrated Master Schedule for a large-scale campus-level data center construction project.

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on schedule status and incorporate activities into the Integrated Master Schedule.

  • Support on-site at the project site to effectively and efficiently understand and report schedule performance.

  • Ability to communicate effectively schedule performance with Senior Project Leadership.

  • Conducting early-stage schedule sanity/health-checks is another important element of the role. STACK needs to have confidence that the durations that we propose to our customers are realistic and achievable. These determinations are often highly time sensitive. Equally important are the durations, deliverables and milestone dates that we commit to in our leases.

  • Expertise in complex schedule baselining, performance tracking, and predictive outcomes to support leadership decision making.

  • In addition, an essential part of the role is to create schedules that can clearly and succinctly communicate schedule concepts, such as overall project health, pending risks, remaining float, etc. to the Leadership Team. As such, a keen eye for graphical presentation, organization and structure will be critical.

  • Another important output of this endeavor is to be able to identify problems and risks early, to report such risks to Leadership as appropriate, and most importantly, to work with individual project teams to develop and implement mitigation and recovery strategies.

  • Create and manage an Owner Schedule database/repository in SharePoint, including the creation, collection, tracking and dissemination of schedule KPIs and rules of thumb.

  • Assist STACK project teams in the review and analysis of preliminary and in-progress GC project schedules, providing expert insight and ad hoc / ongoing support as needed.

  • Work with the Development Team Preconstruction Lead on conceptual/preliminary project schedules in conjunction with Sales & Development activities.

  • Provide ad hoc mini-schedules, fragnets, hypotheticals and scenario analyses as required.

THE DETAILS:

  • Location: Shreveport, LA (heavier on-site presence will be expected in the beginning but could go down to as little as once per month)

  • Travel: Some domestic travel, 20-25%

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

  • Must pass a comprehensive background screening

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Maintain strong working relationships with team leaders across the organization, including Finance, IT, HR, Strategy, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Client Success and Operations. Represent the Construction Team when needed and work collaboratively to resolve issues.

  • Data Center scheduling experience is required

  • Work proactively and effectively with at times with minimal supervision to address issues, identify and solve problems, etc.

  • Emphasis on continuous development and improvement of the program, templates, processes, training and tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Deep understanding of critical path method scheduling, risk analysis, and schedule optimization techniques.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple segments and shifting priorities.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.

THIS MIGHT BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF:

  • You are a strong communicator, you are persuasive and clear, blending analytics with experience in decision-making.

  • You do not get flustered easily. You can juggle multiple priorities while balancing urgent requests with shifting timelines and deliverables.

  • You are a team builder. You take the time to understand and develop the strengths of your resources while formulating long-term plans for the growth and success of the team.

  • You are naturally curious and driven toward continual improvement. While you celebrate your successes, you take time to review and analyze campaigns for future learning.

WHY STACK?

  • We offer a competitive compensation package with strong benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K program, flexible spending accounts - even a cell phone subsidy.

  • We foster a culture of appreciation, including peer-to-peer recognition and rewards programs.

  • Fun is part of our DNA, with events, game nights, happy hours, and barbecues.

  • We're growing - this is a great time to join and make an impact!
