Data Center Technician

Location:ย Varies - this team will travel to different sites across the country. Memphis is the preferred location as a lot of work will be performed there, however this person MUST be comfortable traveling to various sites across the country at different times.

Job Summary:

The Data Center Technician is responsible for the physical installation and positioning of data center infrastructure, including server racks, cabinets, and related hardware. This role supports large-scale deployment projects by safely moving, assembling, securing, and preparing equipment for integration within data center environments.

Technicians work as part of a team to ensure racks are properly placed, anchored, and ready for server/network installation. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role requiring attention to safety, precision, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport, position, and install server racks and cabinets within data centers
  • Drill into concrete floors and secure racks using anchors and bolts per specifications
  • Assist with layout alignment based on floor plans and deployment schematics
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, lifts) as needed
  • Perform basic cabling tasks, including routing and dressing cables
  • Ensure all installations meet safety standards and data center requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site
  • Follow detailed instructions from team leads and project managers
  • Support inventory handling, staging, and equipment preparation
  • Adhere to all OSHA and site-specific safety protocols

Requirements

Basic Qualifications
