About our Assistant Health Center Manager position


The Assistant Health Center Manager is part of the health center supervisory and management team that provides reproductive health care services, which includes abortion care. The Assistant Manager ensures excellent patient care is provided in our health centers. They are responsible for learning the day-to-day operations of the health center and will be asked to step into this role on days when the Health Center Manager is not onsite.

What will you be doing!

This role assists the team with meeting health center productivity metrics and goals. Provides support to the health center team by providing patient education and other aspects of patient care. Provides administrative support to the Health Center Manager with regard to compliance, inventory and other daily tasks. Requires an understanding and commitment to advance PPGNHAIKโ€™s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting Health Center Manager and other supervisory team members.

Providing direct patient care and monitors quality of care and services.

Utilizing scheduling systems to ensure maximum productivity and access for patients.

Assisting teams in increasing patient satisfaction by soliciting and tracking feedback and by responding to patient concerns. Help to train all center staff to be fully receptive to patients and to communicate effectively with them.

Accountable for fiscal assets, including doing deposits, tracking errors, ensuring computer batching accuracy and reconciliation, handling petty cash, and monitoring staff for compliance with fiscal standards and policies.

Assisting in tracking health center patient census, developing strategies to increase census to ensure goals are met, and works to involve whole team in goal achievement.

Assisting in monitoring monthly revenue and expenses and working with Health Center Manager on maintaining fiscal goals.

Monitoring and orders supply in health centers. Ensure that inventory is available for use, is properly stored, is of appropriate amount and is up to date.

Meeting regularly with Health Center Manager to discuss site needs, prioritize tasks, share staff updates

Counts monthly supply inventory and year-end property and supply inventories.

Delegating oversight of task and/or projects as assigned by the Health Center Manager

Provides supervisory responsibility of center direct reports in the absence of the Health Center Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma

At least 2 yearsโ€™ experience working in a health care environment, preferably in a reproductive health setting. Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources and VP of Clinic Operations

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of medical records management systems.

Patient Data software and EMR experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary Range:

$53,450 - $89,084
