Job description

A large Data Center in Hillsboro, OR is hiring multiple Cable Technicians to join the team for a great opportunity!

Job Duties:

  • Install, maintain, and decommission data center network and cabling infrastructure, including copper and fiber systems
  • Perform cable routing, termination, splicing, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting using industry-standard tools
  • Install and support structured cabling systems such as ladder racking, seismic bracing, and live service upgrades
  • Read blueprints and technical documentation; coordinate with teams and provide project status updates
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and documentation standards while maintaining organized work areas
  • Complete physical tasks in data center environments, including lifting equipment, pulling cable, and climbing ladders

Qualifications:

  • Need to have a strong work ethic. This is physical work, up and down ladders, putting together server cabinets, and cabling, etc.
  • Previous data center, cable technician, telecom, electrician apprentice candidates is a plus.
  • Prefer cabling experience (coax, fiber, cat5, cat6, copper, punch downs, etc.) no license required.
  • Low voltage experience is a big plus.
  • Data Center/Construction site experience is a plus.
  • Must have steel toed boots and some of your own hand tools.
  • Must be willing to obtain OSHA 10 & Scissor Lift certification prior to starting.
