Job Description We are seeking an IT Security Specialist III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in governance of data backup testing, risk oversight, and JIRA-driven execution and a proven ability to deliver governance routines, drive remediation, and report risk reduction outcomes relevant to the role. Responsibilities: Manage governance routines end to end, including scheduling, material development, facilitation, minutes, and action tracking.

Leverage governance forums to identify, document, and escalate risks aligned to Data Backup Testing Oversight MRA objectives. Engage application and infrastructure SMEs and risk teams with clear communication and documentation. Update and maintain scorecards and dashboards to track Data Backup Testing and Governance MRA program commitments and restoral progress.

Demonstrate risk remediation progress and adherence to requirements across Global Technology stakeholders. Own day-to-day governance for the application data backup standard to ensure consistent interpretation and application. Evaluate application backup configurations against policy requirements including frequency, retention, restore testing, and encryption.

Identify systemic policy gaps and partner with platform, infrastructure, and application teams on remediation paths. Coordinate kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates to support delivery of commitments. Provide status updates to stakeholders and leadership on delivery, risks, issues, and schedules.

Create, triage, and manage JIRA tickets for gap identification, remediation, evidence collection, validation, and closure. Ensure tickets include clear acceptance criteria, ownership, due dates, and evidence requirements, and produce accurate JIRA-based dashboards and backlog reporting. Drive timely closure through follow-ups, escalations, and dependency management.

Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency with governance playbooks, control testing procedures, and evidence standards for backup and recovery. Demonstrated JIRA expertise, including ticket creation, workflow management, reporting, and dashboards. Experience with technical recovery and Business Continuity Planning.

Strong analytical and logical thinking skills with attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication with ability to create senior executive materials. Ability to collaborate and build partnerships across diverse technology and risk teams.

Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. Prior experience in risk management, risk assessments, audits, and regulatory issues. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Hosting and Data Center Services Backup as a Service (BaaS).

Knowledge of Application and Database Services, including databases and Active Directory. Knowledge of Enterprise Data platforms including Teradata ECO. Knowledge of Enterprise Employee Technology and Productivity and Mobility solutions such as Exchange.

Knowledge of Mainframe Services. Knowledge of Application Production Services Engineering, including HP Nonstop and iSeries. Additional Details: Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
