Job description

The Business Analyst/Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the establishment and execution of a sustainable operating model for data automation and adjustment reduction. This position requires a highly analytical and proactive individual with a strong blend of business analysis and project management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for eliciting and documenting business requirements, conducting data analysis, managing project workstreams, and facilitating collaboration across different teams within the bank. This role involves a dynamic mix of analytical thinking, problem-solving, and project execution, demanding a strong ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Requirements Analysis: Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for data automation and adjustment reduction initiatives. Conduct gap analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to understand current processes, identify trends, and support decision-making. Develop reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the design and implementation of process improvements to reduce adjustments and enhance data quality.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and execute project plans for assigned workstreams, ensuring alignment with the overall program objectives and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different teams and departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Project Tracking and Reporting: Monitor project progress, track key metrics, and provide regular status updates to program leadership.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. Facilitate issue resolution and escalate critical issues as needed.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders. Prepare presentations, reports, and other communication materials.
  • Operating Model Support: Contribute to the design and implementation of the sustainable operating model for data automation and adjustment reduction.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Technology, Finance, or related field).
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis and project management, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to gather and document business requirements.
  • Experience with data analysis techniques and tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data automation or process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Citi's internal systems and policies.
  • Business analysis or project management certification (e.g., CBAP, PMP).
