Raymond James is seeking a Senior Analyst with strong analytical, technical, and communication skills to support Risk Management through data, reporting, and analytics. This role is critical in understanding front-line processes, analyzing and transforming data, developing reporting and visualization solutions, and collaborating with IT to integrate data across multiple departments. Under limited supervision, you will collaborate and play a key role in shaping the firm's risk information and analytics capabilities. This position requires exceptional analytical ability, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with data and business intelligence tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advance data, reporting, and analytics capabilities for Risk Management, ensuring deliverables meet business needs, enterprise standards, and regulatory expectations.
  • Develop and maintain reporting, dashboarding, and analytical solutions using approved data and business intelligence tools.
  • Extract, transform, reconcile, and analyze data from multiple source systems to support risk measurement and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT delivery teams to translate business needs into data requirements, analytical logic, and reporting solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within assigned workflows.
  • Translate technical and analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives through dashboards, presentations, and executive summaries.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines using effective project management and time-tracking practices.

Knowledge of:

  • Risk Management principles and practices, including market, credit, and liquidity risk.
  • Agile methodologies and iterative delivery environments.
  • Analytical and business intelligence tools and platforms, including SQL, Python, Excel, Tableau, and Qlik.
  • Data preparation, cleansing, reconciliation, validation, and basic data modeling concepts.

Skill in:

  • Extracting, manipulating, transforming, and analyzing data from multiple source systems using SQL, Python, Excel, Tableau, and Qlik.
  • Developing dashboards, reports, visualizations, and analytical outputs.
  • Reconciling and validating data to ensure accurate and consistent results.
  • Translating business and risk objectives into data requirements, analytical logic, reporting specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Communicating technical insights effectively through presentations and visual storytelling.

Ability to:

  • Hand write SQL (required) and Python (preferred)
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand their processes and translate them into data, reporting, and analytical solutions.
  • Analyze complex datasets, identify patterns or anomalies, and develop actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain queries, scripts, technical documentation, and instructions.
  • Adapt quickly to evolving needs and deliver concise, actionable insights under tight timelines.
  • Work independently and prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and justify data-driven recommendations that consider constraints and potential outcomes.

Education/Previous Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in financial services, data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.

  • Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience approved by Human Resources.
