Position Description

Pay Grade: Assistant 5 This position enters and verifies curriculum class schedules and assists with student registration.

Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.

  • Enters accurate curriculum class schedules into the tracking system from source documents; proofreads class schedules prior to release and assists in verifying information against Curriculum outlines and course data sheets
  • Process changes, additions and deletions for the curriculum departments; notifies students of class cancellations according to office procedures
  • Approves event scheduling in Ad Astra software
  • Prepares reports and correspondence for departments, as requested
  • Assists in creating and maintaining accurate room use inventory and assists with room requests for special activities, within Ad Astra
  • Assists with departmental scheduling trainings, as needed
  • Assists with other workloads within the Registration and Records office, as needed
  • Assists in providing enrollment reports to various deans and vice presidents
  • Assists in maintaining the accuracy of the local course library
  • Completes an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basis
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to maintain records accurately and meet deadlines consistently

Strong Analytical Skills

Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-driven environment

Demonstrates good organizational skills

Ability to perform normal duties with minimal supervision

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Intermediate skills with MS Office products

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Two years of administrative or clerical experience

Preferences:

Work experience is student records or registration

Work experience in data entry

Work experience with Ellucian(Colleague) or Banner student information system

Work experience at a post-secondary institution
