Join a community-focused team that thrives on doing things differently to better serve its residents. Innisfil is an award-winning municipality applying two hundred years of small-town independence and collaboration towards a future of innovation and prosperity. Strategically located next to several major urban centres, Innisfil’s central location combines big city access with small-town feel, high quality of life and a strong local workforce. With several exciting projects underway, Innisfil is connected for business and poised for significant growth. Situated on the western shore of Lake Simcoe, Innisfil’s scenic landscape featuring miles of waterfront, woodlands and farm fields are natural assets that make Innisfil the perfect place to mix business and pleasure. Just minutes from desk to dock, Innisfil has something for everyone.

Why You?

Join us at a pivotal time as we modernize the way our organization operates.

We’re not just implementing a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system—we’re redefining how we work. This Town-wide project will connect people, processes, and technology across finance, payroll, procurement, human resources, and beyond, strengthening decision-making and service delivery. This is an opportunity to rethink our workflows, strengthen collaboration, and build a more integrated, higher performing organization. We’re building a team of collaborative thinkers, problem-solvers, and change-makers who are energized by transformational work and committed to creating a more efficient, connected, and future-ready workplace.

Working in a cross-functional and forward-thinking environment, and in support of the Town of Innisfil’s Strategic Plan 2030, and our core values of “Community First. Future Ready. Balance Always.”, the People & Talent ERP Data Assistant will provide dedicated support to the implementation of the organization’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, with a focus on People & Talent (P&T) data, business process coordination, testing, documentation, and transition readiness, as well as:

  • Supporting the planning, preparation, validation, and migration of P&T data and assisting with ERP implementation activities across the P&T portfolio, reporting, workflow design, and end-user readiness.
  • Compiling data from current P&T systems and internal databases; transferring validated information into the implementer's data transfer templates and assisting in reviewing and verifying data uploaded by the implementer.
  • Supporting implementation activities by inventorying source data, auditing records for completeness, accuracy, cleanup, and coordinating required inputs from existing P&T systems and internal files, and resolving data-quality issues before migration.
  • Preparing data files, mapping documents, and validation materials in accordance with project standards and migration requirements.
  • Participating in unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing; supporting results tracking and documenting identified corrective actions as required.

The preferred candidate holds:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology/Systems, Payroll, Project Management/Administration, or a related field.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of ERP-related experience in human resources, data management, project support, HRIS support, or payroll/ERP coordination. This experience in a municipal, public sector, or unionized environment would be considered an asset.
