Job description

The Apprenticeship Program Manager oversees the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the apprenticeship and early career development programs. This role bridges the gap between subject matter experts (SMEs) and apprentices, ensuring that knowledge is transferred efficiently, consistently, and at scale. This role will build and maintain a new, repeatable learning system that reliably transforms high-potential individuals into skilled contributors.
What you'll be handling
  • Builds and manages the Apprentice Lifecycle, from onboarding schedules and hardware provisioning to graduation milestones and final placement.
  • Partners with technical experts to document tribal knowledge and convert it into a structured, modular curriculum.
  • Coordinates training sessions with apprentices and technical Subject Matter Experts (SME) and provides SMEs with instructional templates to ensure focus on needed topics, leading sessions as applicable.
  • Establishes and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for apprentices, ensuring training effectiveness is measured and participants are meeting technical benchmarks throughout the program.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external educational partners and agencies to ensure program alignment with state, federal, and academic institutional requirements.
  • Recruits, interviews, and selects apprentices in partnership with Human Resources and Hiring Managers.
What you'll need
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Education, Human Resources, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in Project Management, Instructional Design, or Corporate Training, preferably in an industrial or warehouse environment. Familiarity with USDOL-registered apprenticeships preferred.
  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading workshops and delivering presentations.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to supervise multiple schedules and hold others accountable to deadlines.
