Our challenge:
The Program Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, governance, planning, execution, and successful delivery of the Security Hub program supporting client Data Private Cloud (DPC) initiative. This role serves as the primary liaison between client stakeholders, Synechron leadership, and project delivery teams, ensuring alignment across business, security, architecture, engineering, and operational workstreams.
The Program Manager will oversee all phases of the Security Hub implementation, including governance, architecture, platform deployment, integrations, security controls, reporting, automation, operational readiness, production rollout, and hypercare support. The role is accountable for managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, resources, stakeholder communications, and executive reporting while ensuring successful achievement of program objectives and milestones.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $140k - $150k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Governance
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Security Hub program.
- Establish and manage program governance structures, steering committees, and executive review forums.
- Drive alignment across business, security, technology, risk, compliance, and operational stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to project governance, quality standards, and delivery methodologies.
- Facilitate executive decision-making and issue resolution.
Program Planning & Delivery Management
- Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, milestones, and resource forecasts.
- Manage project scope, deliverables, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints.
- Coordinate activities across architecture, engineering, integration, data, SRE, and business teams.
- Monitor delivery progress against approved milestones and commitments.
- Ensure successful completion of Phase 1 (Q3 2026) and Phase 2 (Q4 2026) objectives.
Stakeholder & Executive Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Client and Synechron leadership.
- Develop and manage stakeholder communication plans.
- Conduct weekly status meetings, steering committee sessions, and executive briefings.
- Manage escalations and facilitate timely issue resolution.
- Maintain alignment across business and technology organizations.
Financial & Resource Management
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, and resource utilization.
- Monitor program financial performance and delivery metrics.
- Coordinate onboarding and staffing activities across project teams.
- Support contract management, change requests, and scope adjustments.
- Ensure efficient allocation of project resources.
Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
- Establish and maintain risk, issue, decision, and dependency logs.
- Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks.
- Manage cross-functional and external dependencies.
- Escalate critical risks and issues to leadership when required.
- Ensure contingency and recovery plans are maintained.
Delivery Oversight & Quality Management
- Ensure deliverables meet contractual, technical, and quality expectations.
- Monitor milestone completion and client acceptance activities.
- Ensure compliance with client governance standards and project controls.
- Support audit readiness and delivery traceability requirements.
- Conduct regular delivery reviews and health checks.
Compliance & Regulatory Coordination
- Coordinate activities supporting governance, compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure project deliverables support audit-ready evidence generation.
- Oversee control traceability and compliance reporting activities.
- Support examination readiness and stakeholder reporting requirements.
Operational Readiness & Hypercare
- Oversee production readiness planning and deployment activities.
- Coordinate training, knowledge transfer, and operational handoff activities.
- Manage hypercare support and stabilization efforts following go-live.
- Ensure successful transition to client operational support teams.
- Lead project closure and lessons-learned activities.
Requirements
You Are:
Experience
- 15+ years of program and project management experience.
- 10+ years managing large-scale cybersecurity, technology transformation, cloud, or infrastructure programs.
- Experience leading multi-million-dollar programs with distributed delivery teams.
- Experience delivering projects within highly regulated financial services environments.
- Proven success managing executive stakeholders and steering committees.
