Job description

The Operational Excellence & Data Analytics Manager is responsible for managing Seadrill's operational excellence framework, performance analytics, and continuous improvement processes. The role provides data-driven insights, performance governance, and operational support to Operations Directors, Rig Managers, and operational leadership to improve safety, efficiency, reliability, and operational consistency across the fleet. The position also owns PLATO, West Minerva, fleet performance reporting, and operational improvement tracking.

  • A degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field

  • Minimum of 8 years' operational experience in the offshore drilling industry

Fleet Performance Monitoring 

  • Manage fleet operational performance dashboards and KPI frameworks.

  • Identify performance gaps, trends and improvement opportunities across all rigs.

  • Facilitate monthly operational excellence reviews with Operations Directors and Rig Managers.

  • Track execution of performance improvement actions.

Operational Excellence Programs

  • Lead fleet-wide operational excellence initiatives.

  • Maintain and govern improvement project portfolio.

  • Track benefits realization and measure operational improvements.

  • Coordinate implementation of best practices across the fleet.

Data & Analytics

  • Own PLATO product roadmap, governance and adoption. 

  • Ensure data quality and reporting integrity.

  • Develop dashboards, predictive analytics and decision-support tools.

  • Support executive and operational reporting.

West Minerva & Real-Time Monitoring

  • Manage West Minerva budget, operating model and priorities. 

  • Support critical operations through monitoring and performance analysis.

  • Maintain operational monitoring tools and processes.

  • Ensure operational insights are escalated and acted upon.

Lessons Learned & Best Practices

  • Own operational lessons learned process.

  • Maintain fleet best-practice repository.

  • Ensure learnings are translated into procedures, training and improvement plans.

  • Support safety, operational and process investigations through the effective use of Minerva and PLATO, including trend analysis, lessons learned, action tracking and identification of opportunities to reduce operational risk and improve fleet performance.

  • Support Drilling & Well Control and Academy teams with performance insights.

Knowledge Skills and Experience

  • Strong understanding of offshore drilling operations and rig performance drivers.
