Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Digital Operations Platform Manager for the Facilities Services Department. This position is responsible for overseeing and integrating Facilities Services enterprise systems, ensuring secure, reliable, and well-governed data while supporting analytics, decision-making, and organizational needs across multiple platforms. This position will ensure system integration, data governance, security, and reporting integrity while supervising data analytics functions and coordinating with platform stewards to align technology with business needs.

This position reports to the Senior Director of Accounting and Business Services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the administration, integration, and governance of Facilities Services' enterprise systems, including Workday, Archibus, Trimble Unity Construct, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Microsoft Power Platform

  • Design and maintain enterprise data architecture, data pipelines, and reporting solutions that support reliable, secure, and actionable business intelligence

  • Develop and oversee data governance, semantic modeling, analytics standards, and self-service reporting capabilities to promote consistent and informed decision-making

  • Establish and enforce security, access control, compliance, and platform governance standards across systems, data, and automation solutions

  • Manage Microsoft Power Platform governance, including automation standards, citizen developer solutions, and application lifecycle management practices

  • Supervise and mentor data analytics staff while fostering data literacy, user enablement, and continuous improvement across the organization

  • Coordinate change management, release planning, incident response, vendor relationships, and platform investments to ensure operational reliability and long-term sustainability

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Facilities Services, Information Technology, Finance, Human Resources, and other university departments to align technology solutions with organizational priorities

  • Support emerging technologies and artificial intelligence initiatives by ensuring secure, governed, and high-quality data foundations; and

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and four (4) years of professional work experience; OR

Master's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and two (2) years of professional work experience.

Related Experience

  • Experience using Python and SQL to support data preparation, transformation, orchestration, and validation of enterprise data to ensure accuracy and reliability.

  • Experience developing and overseeing Power BI reporting and semantic data models, including dimensional modeling, certified datasets, and standardized measures to support consistent enterprise analytics.

Physical Demands

This position requires sitting most of the time but may require walking or standing for brief periods of time; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Certification and Licensure

A valid Class "C" driver's license or higher operator's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.

Schedule and Travel Requirements

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. This position may be able to elect an alternative work schedule. Occasional after-hours release windows and on-call rotation for priority incidents. Limited travel for vendor/user conferences or training.

This position is designated as Essential Personnel. In the event of a campus emergency, special event, closure to maintain campus safety or building operations, this position may be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours.
