Job description

Data Analytics (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, MA): Specific duties of the position include: Collaborating with all internal technical and business teams including SaaS Ops, Alpha Cloud Ops, Alpha Data Ops and clients to resolve data issues; Supporting the defect resolution process by collaborating with the development team in understanding the root cause of data issues and ensuring all defects are fixed; Acting as a data and technology subject matter expert that will resolve and debug all issues; When an issue occurs understand the data, how it relates to the process and where it needs to be fixed; Contributing to the integration of new data services and sources by participating in requirements gathering, testing, and supporting of newly developed features as part of the ADS product's scaled agile teams; Documenting product specifications and preparing business cases to drive development in scaled agile rooms; Writing and reviewing standard query language data manipulation language (SQL DML) statements to resole time critical production data issues; Enforcing and enhancing standard operating procedures, including client specific requirements covering areas such as triage, escalation, and resolution; Enforcing and enhancing procedures to communicate to all stakeholders on status and progress of issue resolution; Continually assessing and contributing to produce enhancements, software quality and other improvements that could be implemented to improve how the support team monitors and triages issues; Applying knowledge of data management, data governance, service catalogue, data lineage tools, operational dashboards, processing monitoring tools; and Applying knowledge of internal and external integrations, triage issues and implement/recommend solutions to system data problems and anomalies. Hybrid telecommuting from within the U.S. permitted pursuant to company policy.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, plus 5 years of related experience in Finance and Banking industries. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, plus 3 years of related experience in Finance and Banking industries.
Must also have the following: Demonstrated solid communication skills across all channels and levels of recipients including team members, colleagues, and clients at all levels; Demonstrated strong problem solving skills; Deep understanding of the financial data to understand what the problem is when an issue occurs; proven experience managing data as front, middle, and back office support; Proven experience with financial services data domains - security master, benchmarks positions, transactions, cash, performance, and/or analytics; Demonstrated strong proficiency in SQL; Demonstrated knowledge of data management, data governance, service catalogue, data lineage tools, operational dash boards, and process monitoring tools; Working knowledge of at least one of the following: Azure cloud platforms, Kettle, Talend, Qlik Replicate, Qlik Compose, Kafka, or Snowflake; and Demonstrated knowledge of internal and external integrations, triage issues, and ability to implement/recommend solutions to data problems and anomalies. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the stated ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years or amount of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently.)

Salary Range:
$146,806 - $176,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
