Job description

The Multi-Site Maintenance & Reliability Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining reliability and maintenance excellence programs across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role drives asset performance, reduces downtime, and ensures consistent maintenance standards across all sites through leadership, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Reliability Strategy & Execution

  • Lead and standardize reliability programs across all sites, including:
    • Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)
    • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
    • Predictive/Condition-Based Maintenance (vibration, thermography, oil analysis)
  • Develop and implement multi-site maintenance strategies to improve asset uptime and lifecycle performance

Maintenance Excellence & Standardization

  • Optimize PM/PdM programs to reduce reactive maintenance
  • Ensure consistent use of CMMS systems, data integrity, and reporting accuracy
  • Lead audits of maintenance practices and drive corrective actions

Performance Improvement

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, and lower maintenance costs
  • Analyze equipment failures and trends; deploy corrective actions across all sites
  • Introducing best practices and emerging technologies in maintenance and reliability

Leadership & Capability Development

  • Provide leadership and coaching to site maintenance managers, planners, and reliability engineers
  • Develop training programs to strengthen maintenance skillsets and reliability culture
  • Promote cross-site collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Promote safe maintenance practices and adherence to company standards
  • Serve as a role model for safety leadership and accountability

Qualifications

Required

  • 7-10+ years of maintenance and/or reliability leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience across multiple sites or complex operations
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • RCM, RCA, and predictive maintenance technologies
    • Mechanical, electrical, and process systems
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related Maintenance Reliability experience.
  • Experience in wood products, paper, or heavy manufacturing industries
  • CMMS and data analytics experience
  • Certification in reliability (e.g., CMRP) or equivalent
