We're looking for a talented Data Analytics Developer to join our team supporting a complex Federal Government customer in Northern Virginia (Alexandria/Falls Church area). This individual will help transform data from multiple sources into useful reports, dashboards, and insights. You will use SQL, Power BI, Excel, and other analytical tools to support reporting and decision-making.

Work Location:

  • Onsite – Northern Virginia (Alexandria/Falls Church area)

Clearance:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain Government security clearance.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Write and execute SQL queries to retrieve, analyze, and validate data from relational databases and other sources.
  • Perform recurring and ad hoc data analysis to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and areas requiring attention.
  • Prepare data for reporting and analysis by reviewing, cleaning, and validating data from multiple sources.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Power BI datasets, reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Assist with gathering and documenting reporting and analytical requirements from business and technical stakeholders.
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure reports and dashboards accurately reflect underlying data.
  • Assist with developing recurring operational, management, and analytical reports.
  • Troubleshoot reporting and data issues and coordinate with technical teams when additional support is required.
  • Document report definitions, data sources, business rules, and reporting procedures.
  • Support efforts to improve reporting processes, data accuracy, and reporting efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, database administrators, developers, and business stakeholders.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related discipline.
  • Experience using SQL to query and analyze data.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, or data visualizations using Power BI or a similar BI platform.
  • Experience working with data from relational databases or multiple data sources.
  • Understanding of data analysis, data validation, and data quality concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate data into clear and understandable reports and visualizations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or anomalies in data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Power BI experience, including DAX and Power Query.
  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, and complex formulas.
  • Experience with Tableau, Qlik, or other BI platforms.
  • Experience developing executive, operational, or management dashboards.
  • Experience with data modeling and analytical datasets.

Salary Range
$75,000-$95,000
The posted salary range represents the anticipated compensation for this position. Final compensation will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications, years of directly relevant experience, education, certifications, security clearance, contract requirements, and other business considerations.
