Job Summary

The IT Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes, evaluating information systems, and recommending technology solutions that support the Company's operational and strategic objectives. This position serves as a liaison between business departments and technical teams to ensure systems effectively support construction operations, project management, accounting, human resources, quality control, safety, and other business functions. The IT Systems Analyst assists with system implementations, process improvements, user training, troubleshooting, and ongoing technology initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business units to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
  • Evaluate existing business processes, workflows, and information systems to identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Design and recommend technology solutions that align with operational needs and organizational goals.
  • Analyze system capabilities, data flows, and integration requirements across software, hardware, cloud-based platforms, and enterprise applications.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and provide recommendations regarding system upgrades, enhancements, and technology investments.
  • Coordinate and support system implementations, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, process workflows, and system diagrams.
  • Analyze and support business applications, enterprise systems, document management platforms, and collaboration tools utilized across construction, administrative, and project operations.
  • Assist with reporting, data analysis, dashboard development, and business intelligence initiatives to support management decision-making.
  • Provide end-user training and support to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and business processes.
  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve system-related issues and support ongoing technology initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, cybersecurity requirements, information security standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company information systems and data through adherence to established cybersecurity, access control, and data protection policies.
  • Participate in system security reviews, user access management, and data governance initiatives to ensure appropriate safeguards are maintained.
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to information systems, data management, and technology operations.
  • Support compliance with applicable cybersecurity frameworks, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards, including the protection of sensitive, proprietary, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, IT Analyst, or related information technology position.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or similar certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure is preferred.
  • Experience supporting construction, engineering, government contracting, or project-based organizations is preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment screening requirements, including background investigations, as required by company policy and contract requirements.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain access credentials, security clearances, government-issued identification badges, or installation access permissions as required by project or customer requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of information security principles, cybersecurity best practices, user access controls, data privacy requirements, and risk management concepts.
  • Understanding of data governance, records management, and protection of sensitive business information.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, FAR/DFARS cybersecurity requirements, or other government contract security requirements is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive company, employee, customer, and government-related information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and project coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel between office and project locations as required.
