Description:

Onsite in Durham, NC

Our client seeks a Data/Systems Analyst to support database development and data enablement for institutional wealth management services. The role focuses on systems analysis, requirements refinement, and high-level design across PL/SQL, data movement, and API-centric workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and support data integration for entitlement and access management on a large platform.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $50.00 to $60.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and functional analysis to determine delivery approaches based on requirements.
  • Lead backlog refinement sessions and translate business requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct analysis and design leveraging PL/SQL, SQL, data movement, and modernization techniques.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation, status updates, and user materials.
  • Perform ad hoc PL/SQL reporting and data analysis without impacting production code.
  • Collaborate with multiple Agile teams to manage dependencies and scope.
  • Support high-level application troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Evaluate existing systems for functionality, efficiency, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Assist with estimation, planning, scheduling, and prioritization of work.
  • Apply documentation standards and procedures within Agile delivery.

Experience Requirements:
  • 5+ years as a Systems Analyst in software application development.
  • Significant experience performing analysis with PL/SQL.
  • Ability to distill business processes into epics, stories, and requirements.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills to drive refinement sessions.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts to team members and partners.
  • Exposure to relational database design and analysis and/or Java API mapping and analysis.
  • Experience with Java, Spring Framework, cloud applications (AWS), and REST/SOAP web services (preferred).
  • Experience with production support activities (preferred).
  • Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery (preferred).
  • Understanding of Splunk and Datadog (preferred).
  • Understanding of REST, JSON, and APIs (preferred).

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (preferred).
  • AWS certification (preferred).
