About this Position
  • The position will play a vital role in supporting institutional decision-making and will be heavily involved with budget, finance and human resource data across the OSU System to deliver high-quality analytics that service leadership.
  • In addition, the Data Analyst position includes the following responsibilities:
    • Develops and maintains data extraction programs, prepares analytical reports, and applies statistical and mathematical models to support institutional decision-making at Oklahoma State University.
    • Works closely with OSU administrators, faculty, and external agencies to deliver timely and accurate institutional data. 
    • Assists in developing and maintaining ePrint and other specialized reports available to colleges and other offices across campus.
    • Research and develop statistical models in response to OSU management objectives.
    • Develop and implement recommendations for maintaining efficient and streamlined data extraction programs.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's

    Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Education, or a related technology field.

    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Two (2) years of experience in analytics, statistical or mathematical modeling, or SQL programming.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
    • Proficiency in SQL or SAS for data extraction and analysis
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to maintain constructive relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
    • Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize appropriately
    • Self-motivated, conscientious, and dedicated with an eye for detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's

    Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Education, or a related technology field

    • Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle SQL Developer experience
    • SAS Certified Base Programmer
    • SAS Certified Predictive Modeler using SAS Enterprise Miner 14
