The Senior Analyst, Strategic Analytics is responsible for measuring and optimizing the performance of personalization initiatives across digital and marketing channels. This role partners with Marketing, Product and Digital leaders to design experiments, quantify incremental impact of Personalized activations, and translate complex datasets into actionable insights that influence strategic decisions.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

  1. Analyze A/B and multivariate Personalization experiments using Adobe Target, ensuring statistical validity and clear business interpretation, providing recommendations on test design as needed
  2. Partner closely with Marketing Personalization & Digital teams to uncover insights and recommend testing opportunities and optimizations to customer journeys
  3. Partner closely with Data Science Teams to recommend new advanced analytics models that could be used to reach Personalized audiences
  4. Analyze customer journeys in Adobe Journey Optimizer and Adobe Customer Journey Analytics to measure incremental performance and engagement lift
  5. Query and manipulate large-scale structured datasets using SQL & Python within a big data environment (Google Cloud Platform)
  6. Develop automated dashboards and reporting solutions in PowerBI and Customer Journey Analytics to enable self-service performance monitoring and insight gathering
  7. Work with internal partners to assess business needs and transform them into meaningful observations by selecting optimal analytic technique(s) depending on the nature of the business problem
  8. Prepare and present results to various teams within the organization in an audience specific language with a focus toward action-oriented decision-making
  9. Continually look for ways to improve analysis processes and deliverables
  10. Develop a strong partnership and collaborate with Ulta Beauty business partners, performing as a team member who consults on how to attain the business goals by leveraging customer data and insights
  11. Improve analysis workflows, documentation, and test-and-learn knowledge repositories

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

  • BA/BS degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or related analytical degree or experience (Master’s preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in experimentation, digital analytics, or customer behavior analytics (internship/project experience considered for early-career candidates)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with A/B Testing Tools – Adobe Target preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics and/or Customer Journey Analytics
  • Experience with Python or R a plus
  • Experience in retail or CPG industry a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau or PowerBI) a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - must be able to communicate complex ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

The pay range for this position is $77,600.00 - $115,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
