About the Role

AV Data Strategy Analyst at Uber in San Francisco, CA. Uber's Data Infrastructure and Strategy (DI&S) team, part of the community operation branch, ensures customer support data is readily available for self‑service through diverse data products. The role focuses on analytics infrastructure for autonomous vehicle customer support, shaping how we understand and improve the customer support experience for AV riders and eaters.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner with stakeholders across customer support, engineering, and product teams to understand business needs and translate them into clear data and reporting requirements.
  • Lead discovery efforts to identify gaps in current analytics, data coverage, and reporting workflows.
  • Document business and data requirements for new reports, dashboards, and analytics tools.
  • Perform source‑to‑target data mapping to design new data models and data pipelines.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate new data products to ensure they meet business needs and data quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining documentation around data sources, metric definitions, and data lineage to support long‑term scalability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes and analytics infrastructure for customer support in the autonomous vehicle space.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non‑technical teams to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and deliverables.
Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or similar role (internships, academic projects, or bootcamps welcome).
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience with querying languages like SQL and comfort working with structured and unstructured datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, able to clearly articulate findings, requirements, and data flows to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range for this role is USD 113,000 per year – USD 125,500 per year in San Francisco, CA. Employees are eligible to participate in Uber’s bonus program and may receive equity awards and other types of compensation. Various benefits are also available.
