The Research & Development Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting research and development activities focused on enzymatic reaction performance, reaction optimization, characterization, and application development. Interns will work closely with scientists and engineers to support platform innovation initiatives.
This position reports to the Enzymatic Research & Development Leader and is part of the Research & Development organization located in Fargo and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers on research and development activities.
  • Assist with experimental design, execution, and data analysis.
  • Support technology development and reaction optimization efforts, with exposure to techniques that may include enzymatic reaction development, protein expression, purification, and characterization.
  • Participate in scientific problem solving and technical reporting.

Who you are:
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Laboratory experience through coursework, undergraduate research, graduate research, or internships; working knowledge of statistical methods and design of experiments.
  • Basic knowledge of good laboratory practices and scientific methods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Exposure to enzymatic reaction development, molecular biology, protein science techniques, or scientific data analysis is desirable but not required.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The hourly rate for this role is $28.00. This is the rate that we in good faith believe is the rate of compensation for this role at the time of this posting
