Ready to make your mark in the world of data governance? Spend an unforgettable summer at Invesco alongside a select group of driven students. Our 9-week Summer Internship Program offers you the opportunity to work within our Corporate Functions Data Office, supporting initiatives that improve how data is governed, understood, and used across Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Risk.

As part of our Summer Internship Program cohort, you'll participate in orientation, networking events, development workshops, and volunteer activities. You'll work side by side with talented teams to learn about the business and contribute to meaningful initiatives that support data governance, data quality, reporting and process improvement across Corporate Functions.

You'll support initiatives that strengthen data governance, improve data quality, and help Corporate Functions use data more effectively.

What You'll Do

Support data governance initiatives across Corporate Functions:

  • Help maintain inventories of critical data elements, data owners, data stewards, and key business processes

  • Support preparation of materials for data governance meetings, working groups, and stakeholder updates

Assist with data quality and metadata activities:

  • Analyze datasets to identify completeness, consistency, or accuracy issues

  • Help document data definitions, business rules, lineage, and usage for key Corporate Function data

  • Support data quality issue tracking by organizing findings, actions, owners, and status updates

Contribute to reporting, dashboards, and process improvement:

  • Create or update dashboards, trackers, and summary reports to monitor data governance progress and key metrics

  • Map current-state processes and help identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, or automate recurring activities

  • Assist with preparing executive-ready summaries, presentations, and visual materials that communicate insights clearly

Support cross-functional projects and research:

  • Research leading practices in data governance, data management, AI readiness, and regulatory expectations

  • Partner with team members across Corporate Functions to gather information, validate documentation, and support project deliverables

  • Assist with ad hoc projects related to data governance, data quality, master data, controls, or transformation initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program and graduating by summer of 2028

  • All majors welcome, with an emphasis on Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

  • Demonstrated interest in data, analytics, data governance, or process improvement

  • Must be able to work in one of Invesco's offices where the program is available

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program. Invesco will not provide any assistance or sign any documentation in support of any other form of immigration sponsorship or benefit including optional practical training (OPT) or curricular practical training (CPT)

  • Relocation and housing will not be included if an offer is extended

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to organize assignments and meet deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize information clearly

  • Interest in data governance, data quality, metadata, reporting, or process improvement

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

  • Experience with or interest in data visualization, reporting, or analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar
