Job Title: Commercial Real Estate Intern (Leasing, Business Development & Administrative Support)

Company: Red Tail Residential

Location: Timber Grove, Minneapolis, MN (In-person)

Hours: 40 Hours Scheduled Weekly

Supervisor: Regional Commercial Property Manager

Job Summary

Under the guidance of an assigned mentor, the Commercial Real Estate Intern will gain hands-on experience in leasing support, business development outreach, tenant relations, and commercial property operations. This internship provides exposure to both client-facing and administrative aspects of commercial real estate, helping interns develop a strong understanding of leasing and property operations.

The intern will work closely with leasing, property management, and operations teams while building professional skills in communication, organization, market research, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with leasing activities, including property tours, prospect follow-up, and tenant communications.
  • Support business development and leasing outreach efforts through phone calls, emails, and lead tracking.
  • Conduct market research and competitive property analysis.
  • Help prepare leasing packages, proposals, presentations, and lease documentation.
  • Maintain accurate prospect, tenant, and property records within company systems.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, property tours, and client appointments.
  • Support tenant retention and engagement initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, reporting, filing, and document management.
  • Assist with special projects related to occupancy, leasing performance, and portfolio operations.
  • Collaborate with team members on process improvements and operational initiatives.
