Job description

What You Will Do:
As a Data Scientist Level 3 at Independent Software, you will apply data science, statistical analysis, and computational techniques to complex datasets in support of mission-critical operations. You will analyze and transform data, develop analytical models, and identify patterns and relationships that support data-driven decision-making.
You will work with technical and mission teams to translate requirements into effective analytical solutions and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and relationships
  • Apply statistical, computational, and data science techniques to solve analytical problems
  • Perform data cleaning, transformation, normalization, and integration
  • Develop and refine analytical models and algorithms
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling
  • Develop automated and reproducible data-processing and analytical workflows
  • Create visualizations to communicate analytical findings and results
  • Evaluate analytical methods and model performance
  • Translate mission requirements into technical data solutions
  • Document analytical processes, methodologies, and findings
  • Collaborate with technical and mission teams to support operational objectives

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in data science, data analytics, statistical analysis, or a related technical field
  • Experience working with large or complex datasets
  • Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and analysis

Education and Experience:
Candidates must meet one of the following:
  • Master's degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience; OR
  • Bachelor's degree plus eight (8) years of relevant experience; OR
  • Associate's degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience

Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
Clearance Requirement:
  • Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
