Job description

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director of Operational Analytics reports to the Associate Vice President of Operational Analytics and serves as a key leader responsible for advancing data-driven decision making, operational performance improvement, and strategic analytics initiatives across the organization. This role provides leadership for business analytics, reporting, performance measurement, and operational improvement efforts that support organizational goals and enhance customer, physician, and patient experiences. 


 The Director is responsible for leading complex analytics initiatives from concept through implementation, partnering with operational leaders to identify opportunities for improvement, and translating business needs into actionable data solutions. This position oversees the design, development, and maintenance of reporting systems, dashboards, data models, and performance measurement frameworks while ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and usability. 


 Working closely with operational leadership, executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical resources, the Director drives process improvement initiatives, prioritizes and manages a portfolio of analytics projects, and provides strategic recommendations based on data analysis and operational trends. The Director also supports the development and oversight of analytics-related technology solutions, database systems, and automation initiatives that improve efficiency and organizational performance. 

This position requires a highly collaborative and hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with technical execution while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence. Acts on behalf of the Associate Vice President of Operational Analytics as designated and provides leadership support for departmental initiatives, strategic priorities, and operational decision-making.


What qualifications you will need
  • Bachelor’s degree required.  
  • 5 years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, operational analytics, performance improvement, healthcare operations, or related disciplines. 
  • Experience developing operational reporting, dashboards, and performance measurement systems.  
  • Experience working directly with operational leaders and executive stakeholders.  
  • Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population  served (if applicable). 

Preferred: 

  • 7+ years of experience leading complex projects, initiatives, teams, or cross-functional workgroups.  
  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred. Radiology specific experience is preferred. Experience supporting multi-site healthcare operations. 
  • Experience overseeing analytics, reporting, database, or software development resources preferred.
  • Lean/Six Sigma, PMP, or related Analytics certificates.
