Data Analyst (Operations - Temporary Services Department)

About the Role:

Electric Boat is seeking a driven, curious, and highly analytical Data Analyst to support the Temporary Services Department (D237). In this role, you’ll collect and interpret operational data to help improve efficiency, consumable usage, and other key performance indicators across Temporary Services operations. Your insights will directly influence how our department supports the larger mission of building the world’s most advanced submarines.

Why Electric Boat?

For more than a century, Electric Boat has been at the forefront of naval innovation. We don’t just build products — we build submarines that protect our nation and define the future of undersea technology.

At Electric Boat, you’re not just doing data work — you’re supporting a mission that very few organizations on the planet can match. You’ll collaborate with talented operators, engineers, planners, and craftsmen who take pride in building something extraordinary. Your work in D237 will help keep the shipyard running efficiently and effectively, ensuring our teams have what they need to build submarines that matter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, organize, and analyze operational data for Temporary Services, including efficiency metrics, consumable usage, production support trends, and emerging performance indicators
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel and Power BI
  • Identify patterns and opportunities to improve departmental operations
  • Partner with D237 leadership to determine which metrics have the greatest impact — and help create new ones
  • Establish consistent, repeatable reporting processes and documentation
  • Present insights clearly to management and cross-functional teams
  • Support evolving data needs and respond to ad-hoc analysis requests
Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Skills

  • Ability to communicate data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Familiarity with ATICTS or the willingness to learn it quickly
  • Strong documentation, communication, and organization skills
