Role Description

Reporting to the Manager of Warranty this position is responsible for supporting the business by transforming warranty data into actionable insights that drive effective claims review, cost management activities, and overall warranty cost reduction. The role analyzes large volumes of claims, diagnostic, and component data to identify emerging issues, cost drivers, and patterns in dealer behavior. Working closely with the Warranty Systems Specialists, this position helps define and implement measures that prevent incorrect or non compliant claim submissions. The analyst develops intuitive dashboards and reporting tools, using Tableau/Power BI, and advanced data modeling techniques, to support the Warranty Manager and Claims Adjusters with timely, accurate, and meaningful information. This position plays a critical role in enabling data driven improvements and ensuring the continued effectiveness and integrity of the organization's warranty programs.

Salary range is dependent on factors such as industry-based experience, skills, training, credentials, and other qualifications. The salary range for this role is 70k to 90k actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and internal compensation practices. 

This position is open due to an existing vacancy within the company.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Collect, clean, and prepare warranty data for analysis.
  • Present learnings from warranty data analysis, including controls to prevent future incorrect payments.
  • Develop and distribute management reports for warranty expense and run month end warranty costs report.
  • Create daily, weekly, and monthly prompter reports with insights about potential claim adjustments/cancellations.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive warranty dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI, ensuring clear visualization of KPIs, trends, and cost drivers.
  • Monitor costs continuously to identify opportunities for claims review and coordinating with teams to improve dealer behavior and claim quality.
  • Generate warranty reports to support business decision making.
  • Create warranty cost forecasts and accrual models using historical patterns and predictive analytics.
  • Maintain data integrity across warranty systems and related databases.
  • Support system enhancements, data migrations, and integration projects.
  • Support Warranty Operations with performance insights and policy optimization.
  • Create and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets to manage warranty data and automate manual processes.
  • Monitor and analyze dealership behavior towards warranty claiming.
  • Report development of dealership KPIs for dealership monthly performance related to warranty.
  • Communicate findings to leadership through clear visualizations and presentations.
  • Compile dealer audit data and provide insights to the training academy for Warranty training.
Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary education in a related field required
  • 2+ years experience in a role handling data analytics
  • Robust understanding and experience using MS Office suite programs
  • Tableau and/or Power BI experience
  • SAP Business Objects experience preferred
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Exceptionally strong English communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and written
  • Highly organized individual with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment
