Job Summary:
KAPITAL is seeking a Power BI Data Analyst to enhance their situational awareness capability through advanced dashboard designs. The role involves transforming curated data into actionable visuals and requires collaboration with the Operations team.
Responsibilities:
• design and build real-time and near real-time dashboards
• transform curated Delta Lake data into compelling, actionable visuals
• operate within GCC constraints
• collaborate closely with the Operations team to turn requirements into user-focused reports
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a Green Card Holder
• Based in Minneapolis, MN
• 3+ years building enterprise dashboards with Power BI (Desktop & Service)
• Expert-level DAX and Power Query (M); deep experience optimizing models for performance
• Advanced T-SQL skills for query design, tuning, and data validation
• Demonstrated success delivering real-time or streaming Power BI solutions (DirectQuery, push datasets, or Stream Analytics output)
• Familiarity with Azure Synapse serverless SQL pools, Delta Lake tables, and Azure SQL
• Strong data visualization and UI/UX instincts; ability to translate operational scenarios into clear visuals
• Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or Azure Enterprise Data Analyst (DP-500)
Preferred:
• Experience operating in Microsoft GCC or other government/regulated cloud a strong plus
• Exposure to geospatial visuals or ArcGIS for Power BI
• Understanding of metadata-driven data lakehouse architectures and medallion patterns
